Tutor for
AutoCAD LT PI&D CSV import/Export to update labels
I’m looking for hands-on guidance to build a clean, repeatable CSV workflow inside AutoCAD LT (for my P&ID drawings). The objective is two-fold: update the labels already in place and generate entirely new ones—specifically part numbers, component descriptions and connection details—directly from a spreadsheet.
What I need from you
• A live tutoring session (or a short series) where you share screen and show, step by step, how to structure the drawing data so that a CSV can push changes back in, as well as pull fresh data out.
• Advice on the best automation route available to LT—scripts, Sheet Set Manager, Data Links, or any third-party utility that sidesteps LT’s lack of LISP—so the import/export cycle becomes one click instead of a manual hunt-and-peck.
• A lightweight template or sample file I can keep as a reference after the call.
Acceptance criteria
1. I can round-trip a test CSV and see the three label types update or appear correctly.
2. The process is condensed into a simple checklist I can repeat on future projects.
3. All tips, macros or batch files used are provided and run successfully on my end.
If this matches your skill set and you can explain clearly while you work, let’s get a session scheduled.
