I need our link profile to mirror the strongest opportunities our closest rivals already enjoy. To do that, I would like you to manually review up to three competitor websites, spot every worthwhile backlink they have, and then secure the same (or a functionally equivalent) link for my own site.
Scope
• Manually inspect each competitor’s site, their press pages, blog comments, resource pages, author bios—anywhere a live link appears.
• Record every discovered backlink with its URL, anchor text, and placement notes in a shared spreadsheet.
• Prioritise the links that can be recreated quickly—guest post spots, directory listings, social profile mentions, niche resource pages and similar.
• Outreach, submit, or publish so that my site gains an identical or better live link from each source.
Deliverables
1. Spreadsheet audit of all competitor backlinks found.
2. Status column showing each link you have successfully replicated for my domain (with live URL).
3. Brief wrap-up summary noting any links that were unobtainable and why.
Acceptance Criteria
• Minimum 80 % of discoverable links successfully reproduced.
• All links crawlable by Google and not tagged no-follow unless the competitor’s link is also no-follow.
• No automated link blasts, PBNs, or spam tactics—every placement must be manual and within the source’s guidelines.
If you’ve handled manual backlink replication before and can show live examples, that’s a plus. Let’s strengthen my site’s authority the same way my competitors already have.
