I need a brief but unforgettable sound ident to open an upcoming horror series. It should run 8–12 seconds, plunge the audience into an intense, terrifying mood from the very first frame, and immediately signal that real danger is coming. It would not be too stereotypical with risers and other effects, but have that terrifying vibe.
Sound design
A bed of terrifying ambient drones must accompany the visuals. Layers of low-frequency rumbles, dissonant swells, and a final sharp sting are essential so the ident both looks and sounds menacing even when heard without picture.
Deliverables
• Separate 48 kHz WAV stem for the ambient drone track
• Transparent-background version (alpha) for integration over other edits
• Project files and assets so I can make future tweaks if needed
Acceptance
The ident should pass playback tests in a Dolby-treated room and retain clarity when down-converted to 1080p. I’ll review first-cut, provide one round of notes, then approve the final master.
