프로젝트 내용
I own a 1970 Magnavox stereo console that played normally Recently the AM/FM receiver and amplifier failed. I would like a modern receiver / amplifier installed inside the cabinet and connected to the turntable and speakers so I can play records normally. I would like to retain the exterior look of the Magnavox as much as possible.
Internally, the new unit must:
• accept the signal from the existing turntable (phono-level, so a suitable pre-amp stage may be required),
• route that signal through the freshly-installed receiver/amplifier,
• drive the factory speakers safely and cleanly, and have controls easily accessible.
Please reuse as much of the current wiring as practical, but feel free to update connections, speaker terminals, or power management for reliability and safety. Any cutting or reinforcing inside the cabinet should be neatly finished and invisible from the outside.
Deliverables
• Finished, fully-tested installation ready to play vinyl plus any other source the new receiver supports
• Simple wiring diagram and component list for future maintenance
• Brief walkthrough (in person or video) showing how the controls now work
Experience with vintage audio repair, woodworking finesse for hidden mounting, and clean soldering practices are all important here. If this sounds like your kind of hybrid project, I’m ready to get started.
